Report from St. Andrew’s United Reformed Church Away Day March 28th 2009
Having reviewed and evaluated our objectives for 2008/09 we spent time discussing and formulating our objectives for the present year (2009/10).
Church Objectives for 2009/10 are:
- To think prayerfully and creatively about ways in which our buildings can be used/adapted to enable our mission. We will continue to work to bring those ideas to fruition.
- To investigate and then install a new sound system in the church (to be carried forward by Cecil & Roy with advice from Richard & Tim).
- To offer active and enthusiastic support for the opening of a CTE Coffee Church at Costa Coffee in Eastcote.
- To continue to actively support Vision4life.
- To continue to enable fuller participation in worship. We will examine the possibilities of following up Participating in Worship.
- To look at and further improve church space. Particular attention will be paid to the library, the leaflet table and notice boards.
- To keep the web site updated.
- To urgently replace the external notice boards and to take action to make the church more visible to the community.
- To ensure that the disabled toilet is freely accessible.
- To introduce a Saturday coffee morning, which will be held on the third Saturday of the month generally. The aim of the coffee morning is to offer outreach and to promote charitable
causes.
- To continue to arrange events where we can meet socially and to which we can invite people who do not belong to the church.
