This is the wording of the Covenant agreed by the Pinner Association of Churches and signed by the member churches and their parent bodies.

We, the congregations of St Andrew's United Reformed Church, Cannon Lane Methodist Church, Love Lane Methodist Church, Pinner United Free Church, St John The Baptist Church, and St Luke's Roman Catholic Church:

Affirm our common belief in one God, Father Son and Holy Spirit proclaimed in Holy Scripture and expressed in Creed and Confessions of the Church. We thank God for our baptism unto the Body of Christ. We are grateful for the work of the Holy Spirit in the insights and gifts of the traditions represented in our churches, and we accept one another in Christ as He, in His mercy, accepts us.

We celebrate the richness and diversity of our various traditions, though we regret our past division. We believe that after twenty-five years of deepening fellowship within the Pinner Association of Churches we are now called to a closer and more formal expression of the unity proclaimed in the Scriptures, in the service of God's Kingdom.

Therefore we declare our readiness to commit ourselves more closely to each other under God. Our deep desire is become, in His own time, the one Church of Christ, united in faith, communion, pastoral care and mission. Such unity is the gift of God and we are grateful for the experience of this gift now growing among us.

Nothing in this Covenant in any way weakens our ties with and our responsibilities to our individual denominations, but we seek not to do separately those things which could be better done together.
