United Reformed Church

Eastcote/Pinner

Our organist Steve during a Musical concertMusic has always been a very important part of the life of St. Andrew’s.

Our music is lead by our very able organist Steve Lethbridge - a professional musician and piano tuner. Steve plays in support of several local amateur dramatic and operatic groups and sometimes even participates in the ‘shows’. Steve also organises and plays concerts for us.

We are fortunate in having a Viscount organ, which is so versatile that it can play itself, provided Steve and others have recorded something on it ! It even can be played through the ‘midi’ interphase from a subsidiary keyboard which means that we can have an orchestral sound as well as the organ sounds.

St. Andrew’s Orchestra

Several times a year the musicians in the Church are invited to make an orchestra for a special service. Any one, any age and ability is welcome to come and join Steve on these occasions. We always can do with more volunteers!

Piper at the Musical concertMusic Support

Steve is supported on the organ by Norman Williams, John Henderson, Nigel Newlyn and Blair Letman on Piano. Occasionally we have other musical support e.g. from the Piper at the Musical concert in October 2010.

Joint Church Christmas Choir

Traditionally, Northwood Hills URC and St. Andrew’s have joined together to sing at the CTE Carol Service.
